Coaching process

What to expect from my coaching you?

We will have an initial phone chat, which I sometimes call a discovery session. This is to get acquainted, talk about you and your desires, interests, challenges, and joys. There is no pressure at all -- just a friendly chat.

I will then ask you to fill out my Client Intake Questionnaire. The purpose of this is to help you and me to further assess your current state and whether we are a good match for achieving results.

Then we will schedule one, four or twelve coaching sessions. I have a special discount for the initial two or three discovery sessions. However, read the following paragraph to know why I encourage at least a 12 session commitment.

My motto is Relax, Enjoy, Do Something Useful. When I coach I don't pressure people. Together, we look for a path of least resistance to achieving your goals. I gently remind you that by relaxing, by staying calm, by enjoying the present moment, you will achieve more --without missing out on satisfaction with your achievements and with your life. Yet, the value of coaching stems from moving from unconscious incompetence to conscious incompetence. Conscious incompetence is awkward and uncomfortable but it leads to awareness of the learning that needs to be accomplished to achieve conscious competence. Conscious competence is what brings results. This very worthwhile journey takes commitment and persistence. You need to change your habits through my support and your effort. It has been seen by most coaches that 3 to 6 months of weekly coaching session is a reasonable investment that brings lasting results.
